Just one left!
We have one kitten left for adoption. Callie is a tortise shell female. She is 3 months old, well socialized and has had all her shots. She has also been spayed. Anybody want to adopt a wonderful, loving kitten??

Fisherman's Wharf
We went to Fisherman's Wharf (restaurant) for lunch today in Galveston. The lobster and crab bisque was awesome! We had a great view out of the window into Galveston Bay of the Elissa. We could also see a Carnival Cruise cruise ship from our table. I've never seen one in person and it was enormous!

Lonestar Park
Today we went to Lonestar Park. I've never been to horse races before. I think I'll place a bet on a long shot just for kicks!

Dallas World Aquarium
We went with my neice during her summer visit, today. It's a great place and you should all visit sometime. We took the DART rail system and saved on gas and parking. What a great time!

At last, the rain has come!
It has been what seems like ages since we have had a decent rainfall grace our neighbourhood. We've just recently had the ash tree stump left from last spring's tornado gound to mulch and a couple other volunteer trees removed as well. The rain quenching our dry lawn is icing on the yard work cake! We're also taking advantage of the rain and collecting some for watering plants.
Rain has a mysterious quality (at least to me) the rejuvinates the spirit and inspires creativity. I wonder if there is any scientific phenomena at work with air pressure, temperature chage, or whatever that is quantfiable in a way that might influence people emotionally, psycologicly, chemically or otherwise. I always feel most creative during rainfall. Maybe I should go grab a pen...

Spring....uh-huh...
The first day of spring has come and gone. Look at the gift it brought to Plano. Another 5 inches of snow and another record snowfall. Stay warm! It will be 60 degrees tomorrow.

Hanging out with my guitar
Ok, ONE of my guitars. Actually, when I bought this new at Sam Ash in NYC back in 1988, it was metallic flake blue. It was a concellation purchase. I had cash down on an Ibanez Jem 777. It was a beauty, but a little expensive. I was really jonesing for some rock, so I switched my deposit to this Charvel.
I got a lot of use out of it and eventually stripped it down to become an autograph receptacle. 20 plus years later, it hangs in my studio.

Still Feelin' It The Next Day!
One was definitely NOT enough! Here's my wife's second attempt at a snowman. You see, we needed another one to meet any visitors approaching the house from the rear!

Snow, With A Feelin'
do, do, do, lookin' out my back door
We had some snow come in last night. We got about 2 inches so far and are expecting as much as 4 to 6 more by tomorrow morning! This is the most snow I've seen here since I moved here in 1997...
